1. Veggie sticks and dip
Having a hard time feeding those nutrient-dense vegetables to your kids? Probably they will like it better with a delicious dip. For this recipe, all you have to do is cut up vegetables, like baby carrots, tomatoes, cucumber, and broccoli, ahead of time and keep them in the fridge. The next time your little one wants a snack, encourage them to get some veggies from the refrigerator, along with their favorite dip, be it hummus, ranch, or any other healthy dip.
2. Fruit pizza
If not the actual pizza, any food that resembles it can excite most kids. It’s crucial that fruit pizza looks palatable and features delicious and nutritious fruits that your child loves. For the crust, select a small, whole-wheat tortilla, and allow your little one to spread cream cheese across the top of the crust. Let your child choose the toppings, anything from strawberries and raspberries to bananas and kiwis is great. Either teach them how to cut safely or slice fruits for them so they can make their own colorful pizza topping.

Your only involvement in this recipe is giving your child containers filled with ingredients they can combine to make their one-of-a-kind trail mix. Consider providing them with healthy options like dried fruits, different nuts, whole-grain cereals, raisins, popcorn, sunflower, or pumpkin seeds. It’s a good idea to encourage them to try different flavor and texture combinations, as this helps them get a variety of nutrients.
5. Peanut butter pinwheels
Whether it’s for kids or adults, many people can’t get enough of peanut butter. And your kids will likely love this easy and tasty snack. You just need to hand your little one a tortilla, peanut butter, banana, and some granola. Instruct them to spread peanut butter on the tortilla, sprinkle a little bit of granola for crunch, place the banana on the tortilla, and roll it up. You can slice the roll into sections or show them how to gently slice the roll to create a pinwheel.
